Dogs bring smiles to children

The Arizona Republic tells the tale of the kids at a hospital whose time is improved by the presence of the hospital pets. “They need a little happiness because, let’s face it, the hospital can be boring, boring, boring.”

I’m not to keen on the idea of parading dogs up and down in costume. I think dressing up pets is odd. Another thing I disagree about in the article is: “Nobody had an illness cured. Nobody got to go home sooner. There were no miracles. But for a little while, a whole bunch of kids got to have a little bit of fun.”

I wouldn’t be too sure about that, I’m sure a happy child heals a lot better than they otherwise would.
