Benji the Manchester terrier loses through call of nature!
Benjamin, the Manchester Terrier, didn’t even make it through the first rounds at the Wimbledon Greyhound Stadium when he was caught short and had to stop. Owner Paul Hartley was obviously disapointed at this performance and lost out on the chance of a £1000 first prize fund or even the year’s supply of McCoy’s crisps! After looking at the picture of Benji, he is clearly not a Manchester Terrier.
It is also worth pointing out that the American standard is very different to the Uk standard. In the UK we have Manchester Terriers and the smaller English Toy Terriers are a separate breed. I suggest anybody trying to find out about dogs in the UK try the Kennel Club site.
